SCANDAL ALERT

Just so you are aware, this is going to read a bit like a bad gossip column. I was just, well, intrigued by some articles on one of our favorite designers today. Not Karl, nor John, but Marc. It appears that his love life has fallen to shambles-- or at least that is what is portrayed in the "gatecrasher" article. But then, this was in The Daily News, which I doubt can be trusted for accuracy. Isn't it the very same newspaper that occasionally puts "Mother Spots Martians on Front Porch, Invasion is Expected" on their front page? Or was that a comic book? I can't be sure.

Back to my story.

So it is claimed that Marc's boyfriend, Lorenzo Martone, was caught snogging another man at the birthday party of Wilhelmina CEO Sean Patterson. Incidentally, a man with a girlfriend. As you can imagine, this caused a bit of a ruckus.

So when Marc won the CDFA Award on Monday night, (along with Alexander Wang {yay}) and gave his speech thanking all those who helped him along his way to greatness, Mr. Lorenzo wasn't mentioned. It only makes sense that there is a correlation between the two events, because why else wouldn't he mention the man he's been with for, what, three years?

It appears it's the doghouse for old Lorenzo, and justly so. You don't cheat on the most visionary designer of our age! It's ridiculous! The entire story has yet to be confirmed, but I enjoyed the drama just the same.
