headgear

I am still really excited about my short hair, but, you see, I am trying to trying to find other ways to wear it. I am afraid that I will get bored of it, just as I have with countless other haircuts if I don't.

A thought popped into my head. Headbands. Yes, I know, Gossip Girl. Rahhh!!! Everyone just loooooves Gossip Girl, and so everyone loves headbands. So, I suppose that's why headbands have been so in style this season. I've never seen the show, so I feel a tad out of the loop.

But I do like the headband idea. It's preppy, which is a look that I am insanely obsessed with, but it's not so obviously preppy that it's annoying to look at. And, it would look nice with my new hair that is so short I can't put up in a ponytail.

I have a few, but I kind-of want to make my own, just to give myself something to do.

Those LOOK simple to make, I found them on some sort of headband DIY site. It looks like you just wrap some fabric around elastic for the first two. AND! it looks like you could pull the fabric over your forehead and wear it hippy-style. I do enjoy the hippy style.

The other one looks more complicated, with more weaving and patience required. I don't know about that.

I shall be making a trip to a craft store in another town soon. Ridgefield doesn't have one. Surprise, surprise.
