hat city

Today was a pretty good one. I went to Antropologie and almost bought this amazing long cardigan with dogs all over it. However, I restrained myself, because I'm going to the city tomorrow, and I'll probably be able to find something even more amazing to blow the $50 I earned from babysitting last night.

So, in social studies in school, we are learning about women's suffrage(right to vote) during the early 1900's. We have been watching this movie called Iron Jawed Angels. It has Hilary Swank and Patrick Dempsey in it, and unlike the other movies we usually have to watch in school, it's actually interesting.

DO YO U SEE THE HATS???????? Well, of course you see the hats. They are amazing. Fabulous. Magical, even. I swear, in every scene of this movie, there is a hat that I would kill for.

I am in love with Alice Paul's (Hillary Swank's), hats, because they are almost beanie-like, and they always have some sort of embellishment, like the pink one above. with the flower and bow. They are so quirky. They are sophisticated yet odd enough to keep your attention.

I want one in every type and color.

I love the ones that the older women are wearing, with the huge brims and the amazingly garish feathers and flowers sticking out. It only supports my wish to be transported back to the 1920's.

That, or I just want every single one of these hats, which I will wear everyday to school. Muahahaahahaha. I can just see it now...
