I, uh, missed school today, because I was in need of a mental health day. School is just too
stressful! Ha.
So, my mom and grandma, Patti brought me with them to New York. RAHHHH!!! I love that place. It makes Ridgefield look like a baboon's backside. Yes, that was from Harry Potter.
That's Patti.
We did a lot of things, one of which I won't mention now, as it needs an entire day to go over. But, what I want to talk about now is our visit to Chinatown. You see, my mom and grandma co-own their consignment store, and are always in need of jewelry. There is this one, really nice lady in Chinatown who always ends up giving like half the stuff for free, so we went to her again today.
That was what was on maybe half the booths in Chinatown. I know that the font is small, so you probably can't read it. It basically says that because of illegal activity, the booths have been shut down. They are, of course, talking about the illegal sales of fake designer items. But, it's not like those signs are going to stop them, they always come back. I'm betting they'll be back by next week.
I didn't know how to feel about this. I mean, they are stealing from the designers, because they would be making more money if the fakes weren't out there, so people would buy the real thing. However, you kind-of have to feel bad for the people who sell them, because that is their income.
So, the nice person we always go to in Chinatown, who won't be named, gave me these free glasses. I plan on wearing them all this week, pretending that I have a prescription, and I am having problems with my eyesight. Hahaha, I always wanted glasses!
